Kinja'd!!!

I've waited 3 flipping months for my intake. I knew from reading on forums that SRT has terrible customer service and support, and I figured that out when I ordered it. But still, seriously, 3, almost 4 right now, months?! I've only heard one story of SRT ripping anyone off, and I think that guy just got impatient. Everyone else had to wait a while to get their things from SRT, and the longest I've seen someone have to wait for an order was 4 months. I'm starting to lose faith in SRT and it's owner, Moe. What should I do, guys? Moe doesn't usually answer the phone at SRT (and he's the only one that ever answers the phone at all). !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Can we get this on some sort of Cotomer Sevis post on the FP? Jalopnik seems to have a way about getting things taken care of

I would love for that to happen. I forgot to add that they said that we would get the intake in 2 weeks. 3 months later...Still nothing

I could have forged you one from the finest unobtainium in one month

Good luck, fellow IS brother. If it's any consolation, I've heard SRT intakes are the best for the 2JZ-GE.

That's why I ordered one in the first place!

Just treat it like any other internet transaction where the goods don't arrive and the seller does not respond to attempts to contact. File a report of card fraud with the police, and issue a chargeback on the card.

But I don't think he ripped me off, I just think he's slow as ass like he's expected to be

The website says two to three weeks. If it hasn't come in that time, and the seller won't answer communications, he has ripped you off. Even if it turns up eventually, that doesn't change anything.

If you'd been told four months to start with, fine. He could have done that, but instead he chose to lie to people to get their money. That is pretty much the textbook definition of a scam/rip-off.

At best, the guy's just a total idiot. It's quite likely, though, that he's continued taking money for stuff he hasn't delivered because his business is in trouble: he's keeping it afloat temporarily on the cash coming in, but will never be able to meet the orders.

If every one of his customers did the same thing and treated this as any other scam, he'd either have to pull his finger out and get the products shipped, or it would pull the trigger on the business going under and at least no-one else will get ripped off.

Moe's a huge idiot. Everyone knows that. I expected it to take a while because of what other people told me. SRT doesn't even answer the phone (usually takes like 5 tries) if you're ordering something. I'm pretty sure they're doing fine, as they just moved to a new, bigger, building. They're just all dumbshits and it's really annoying. The problem is that they make the best damn intakes in the business

Well, if they're just being dumb, getting everyone to play stroppy is probably a good time. Sounds like they need a kick up the arse.

What's taking so long, though? No stock? Or just can't-be-botheredness?

I'm assuming they make batches of intakes when they get enough orders and they haven't gotten enough yet. Or maybe they just forgot. Someone does need to kick them in the ass

If it's the former, that's unforgivable. You tell people if that's the case, not promise delivery when you know it's a lie.

Whoever these guys are, sounds like you might have a nice little earner if you can order a couple of dozen intakes and then sell them on at 10% markup with actual two-week delivery.

SRT had a problem in the FR-S crowds. Their product was highly anticipated then when complaints came back from customers about poor build quality(more small issues than anything else) they skipped town. So, I don't think you are the only one that has had a bad experience with them.

The only time I had to wait longer than the said time for a part was from JDL, but they answered all questions, and were only a week late on their 4 week promise.

for the difference in airflow, the factory ecu can adapt, it's not a lot.

Actually it is a lot and the factory ecu freaks out. The intake circumference is larger than the others, too. Other intakes might make like 10hp, but this one makes 22 more hp than stock, and I know it's true.

There's a couple guys on rennlist who've been having epic woes with Broadfoot Racing pulling similar stuff, IIRC. Paid for products, no haz.

SRT = Swift, not Land-o'-the-Viper, right? (I've only ever heard of the one SRT, heh.)
